Worn by Arwen Undomiel, the Evenstar was an exquisitely fashioned piece of Elven jewellery that the maiden of Rivendell carried about her neck. Upon learning of Aragorn's departure in service to Frodo the ringbearer, Arwen entrusted the jewel to the ranger as a symbol of her devotion.
Blessed with great foresight, the Lady Galadriel's counsel and safe shelter are sought by the Fellowship on their journey. Galadriel presents to Frodo a crystal phial filled with the waters of her fountain, so the light of Earendil's star within can provide light to the ringbearer when all other lights go out.
